Finding endomechanical solutions to endovascular problems

Founded in 2008, Vortex Medical Inc. is a medical device company focused on the design, development, and commercialization of novel endomechanical devices for the endovascular market.

The AngioVac® Cannula represents the first product offered by Vortex Medical with a clearance in 2009 for use as a venous drainage cannula. The AngioVac Circuit is the second cleared product with an indication for use during procedures requiring extracorporeal circulatory support.

This novel venous drainage cannula has a balloon actuated distal funnel tip that facilitates en bloc removal of undesirable intravascular material during the performance of extracorporeal circulation.
