Kenneth Rosenfield, M.D.

Dr. Kenneth Rosenfield is the Section Head for Vascular Medicine and Intervention at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. An interventional cardiologist, he chairs the Acute MI Quality Assurance Committee for the cardiac cath lab. He also sits on the Executive Committee of the MGH Vascular Center, chairs its Education Committee, and serves on the Quality Assurance and Outcomes and Public Relations Committees. He has spearheaded the development of innovative less-invasive therapies for patients with coronary and vascular disease, including treatment of carotid, kidney, and leg arteries, as well as venous disease.

Dr. Rosenfield has served as national principle investigator (PI) for numerous large, multicenter clinical trials. His clinical and research interests include management of renal, mesenteric and lower extremity artery revascularization, complex coronary artery disease, and aortic valve stenosis. He also has a strong interest in registries and quality improvement initiatives; he currently chairs the Research and Publications Committee of the Carotid Artery Registry for the National Cardiovascular Data Registry (NCDR). He also has chaired the Cardiovascular Catheterization Committee for the American Heart Association and the Peripheral Vascular Disease Committee for the American College of Cardiology. He is the Program Co-Chair for the annual scientific sessions of the Society for Cardiac Angiography and Intervention for 2012 and 2013.

Dr. Rosenfield is Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease, Internal Medicine, and Interventional Cardiology. He has been recognized as one of America’s Top Doctors by Castle Connelly for the past two consecutive years.

Willard M. Daggett, M.D.

Dr. Willard M. Daggett is Professor of Surgery, emeritus, at Harvard Medical School and retired Massachusetts General Hospital cardiac surgeon. He is founder of the MGH Laboratory of Surgical Cardiovascular Physiologic Research.

During his 50-year career with the Massachusetts General Hospital, Dr. Daggett mentored hundreds of surgical trainees and his influence has fostered innovative research in surgical techniques for heart transplantation and complex cardiac surgical repairs.

Dr. Daggett has published extensively addressing Cardiac Surgical Procedures, Cardiopulmonary Bypass, and Postoperative Procedures. In recognition of Dr Daggett’s decades of work in the cardiothoracic field, in 2008 Massachusetts General Hospital established the Willard M. Daggett Cardiothoracic Research Scholarship.

Michael D. Dake, M.D.

Michael D. Dake, M.D. is Professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Stanford School of Medicine. He serves as Medical Director of Catheterization and Angiography Laboratories and is Chief of Interventional Radiology. Dr. Dake is a major contributor to the development of vascular stent-grafting.

Dr. Dake’s current clinical research projects include drug-eluting stents for superficial femoral arterial disease and multiple device trials to evaluate stent-grafts for the treatment of aortic lesions. He works with a number of other new imaging and therapeutic modalities, including advanced CT and MR angiographic methods.

Dr. Dake participates as a member of a number of device manufacturers’ clinical advisory boards and has editorial appointments to several medical journals. Dr. Dake received his M.D. from Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Dake is a member of the MDN Leadership Group.

Michael R. Jaff, D.O., FACP, FACC, FAHA

Michael R. Jaff, DO is Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. He serves as Medical Director of Massachusetts General Hospital’s Vascular Center, Medical Director of Massachusetts General Hospital’s Vascular Diagnostic Laboratory, and Medical Director of Massachusetts General Hospital’s Vascular Ultrasound Core Laboratory, which is the largest lab of its kind in the United States. Additionally, Dr. Jaff is the Chair of the FDA Medical Devices Dispute Resolution Panel.

Dr. Jaff is an active clinical consultant in all aspects of vascular medicine, including peripheral arterial disease, venous thromboembolic disease, aneurysmal diseases, and all diagnostic strategies in vascular medicine.

Dr. Jaff has published extensively in the field of Vascular Medicine with six textbooks and over 100 peer-reviewed publications. He is the Past-President of the Society for Vascular Medicine and Biology, and received the first designation as Master of the Society for Vascular Medicine. Dr. Jaff received an honorary Doctorate of Science from A.T. Still University School of Medicine.

Christopher J. Kwolek, M.D.

Christopher J. Kwolek, MD is Director of the Vascular and Endovascular training program at Massachusetts General Hospital and is Chief of Vascular Surgery at Newton Wellesley Hospital.

Dr. Kwolek is involved in numerous clinical trials to evaluate new treatments and devices for the management of thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysms, aortic dissection, carotid artery disease and lower extremity arterial disease. He serves as the MGH site principal investigator (PI) for many of these trials and as the national PI on an aortic aneurysm trial and a carotid angioplasty and stenting trial.

Dr. Kwolek serves as a reviewer for multiple medical journals and on the editorial board for the Journal of Endovascular Therapy. He has addressed numerous National and International Vascular Conferences and has authored over 80 manuscripts, book chapters, and monographs related to vascular and endovascular disease management.
